Cambridge Elects town halls provide a structured, impartial forum for candidates to share their perspectives and residents to ask meaningful questions. Each event promotes transparency, accessibility, and informed decision-making.
Format
Each town hall will follow the same structured 90-minute format to help ensure consistency and fairness:
Approximately 45 minutes of moderated discussion based on questions prepared by the organizers
Approximately 45 minutes of moderated discussion focused on the municipal topics that residents identify as most important
Residents will be able to select their priority topics online before the town hall and again at the event. The results will help guide the topics discussed during the second half of the meeting.
Additional questions or topics may also be submitted by residents attending the event. Depending on relevance and the time available, the moderators may raise some of these during the discussion.
How to Participate
All town halls are free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to participate in several ways:
Select your priority topics online before the town hall
Attend in person and select your priority topics using your phone
Submit additional questions or topics during the event using your phone
Watch the town hall live online or view the recording afterward
Attend in person and speak with candidates individually following the town hall
